gDE Universal Tag

We know how much work it takes to measure campaigns in more than one advertising system. In this release, we present a new functionality that will make your life easier and save your time. gemiusDirectEffect will do all the hard work for you. How does it work?

gDE Universal Tag is a solution that aims to simplify the implementation process of gDE tracking scripts on other adserving systems. The purpose of this script is to automatically create and measure a campaign in gDE while it is delivered by other adserving systems. This kind of measurement is possible through the use of a predefined tag with appropriate ID parameters.

Defined ID parameters will be presented in the gDE interface in the following way:

• [campaignID] – name of the campaign
• [placementID] – name of the placement
• [creativeID] – name of the creative
• [publisherID] – login of the publisher defined for a given placement
• [clientID] – login of the client

The ID parameters should be replaced with appropriate macros from the adserving system that delivers the campaign, or replaced with appropriate values. When the gDE UT script is executed for a given creative for the first time, the system tracks the statistics and creates corresponding objects in the gDE interface. Every next execution of the script will only measure the statistics – it’s as simple as that!

Viewability in VAST3

This week we also introduce a new ad format called VAST3_Linear [N], which allows to measure viewability of video VAST advertisements. All you have to do is deliver your ad with the use of gemiusDirectEffect with one additional script placed on the publisher's website.
