List of new features and major fixes for this release:

  • GDPR parameter in gDE Actions scripts
  • Gemius on Google YouTube vendors list

GDPR parameter in gDE Actions scripts

In the last release (Release: 13-06-2018), we informed about changes in gDE scripts, required by the GDPR regulation. This week, we introduce a similar change in gDE Actions scripts.

This means that after this release, you will find an additional parameter nc in gT4gDE scripts downloaded from the gDE interface. This parameter will allow you to disable cookies if the user doesn't consent to profiling.

If the user doesn't consent, setting the nc parameter to true will disable cookies

Note: Please note that the nc parameter is set to false by default.

Gemius on Google YouTube vendors list

We are also pleased to announce that Gemius SA is one of the vendors integrated with Ads Data Hub, a new solution by Google.

On May 25, Google changed the policy regarding third-party scripts measurement on Google YouTube and introduced Ads Data Hub to the market – currently the only way for Europe-based ad measurement companies to access detailed, impression-level data about Google’s cross-device media campaigns.

gemiusDirectEffect is now in a test phase with Ads Data Hub and in a process of drafting a cookie matching procedure to provide our clients with a full set of statistics, including Real users reach and Socio-demography, based on data collected in campaigns from both Google YouTube and gDE. If you would like to participate in tests, please contact your Tech Support.
