Delivery of gDE2 ads on MSN O&O sites

We are glad to inform you that we have certified gDE2 for the delivery of standard and expanding ads (using ERM API) on MSN O&O (Owned and Operated) sites including Skype. Our certification excludes TMX pages for the moment, but we are already working on supporting those as well.

In order to serve gDE2 ads at Microsoft, you need to pay attention to the following:

  • we have special templates that implement Microsoft's so-called OOB (Out of Bounds) click tracking method and only these new templates will be accepted by Microsoft for your campaigns;
  • the new templates, MSN Banner and MSN Expanding Banner let you define Flash ads with our without expansion;
  • to ensure click tracking for Microsoft, you also need to check the new MS OOB click tracking option for the placement, which is going to serve your MSN ads (this will add an additional, required line of code to the placement's display script)

The new MS OOB click tracking option can be found at the bottom of placement properties:

If the option is turned on, the placement's display script will get an additional line of code:

IMPORTANT: TMX pages (introduced by Windows 8 Modern UI) are not covered yet by our certification. However, we are trying to cover those pages as well as soon as possible to increase your possible reach on MSN O&O sites.

Set indicator remains the same while changing period type

When you wanted to analyse a specific set of indicators for different types of periods (e.g. campaign time period and one month), you had to set those indicators every time you have changed the period type.

However, such situation will not occur anymore after this release. We have introduced a fix which makes the set indicators remain the same from now on.
