Folder dimension available in Reporting module

Some time ago we have added a possibility to use the Publisher dimension in all kinds of reports. This time we do the same with the Folder dimension. Some of you may call and refer to folders as 'nodes'. Now you can define reports with aggregated data for Folders or Publishers. Please keep in mind that you can use only one of these dimensions in a given report module.

Online statistics for placements and creatives

Real time statistics of impressions and clicks have been available to you for a long time in gDE2. This feature of gDE2 has proven useful in certain situations, when you needed to test whether tracking scripts have been implemented properly for your campaign or not. However, real time statistics have been available only on campaign level so far as fully aggregated numbers.

Now we are ready to provide an even more flexible way of checking the proper counting of ad events immediately, through real time statistics for Placement and Creative dimensions in the Dashboard! It is now easier than ever to spot problems with tracking script implementation and statistics collecting, as numbers can be seen now for not only the whole campaign, but also for the various placements or creatives as well. You only need to change the dimension of real time statistics in the Dashboard with the help of new controls as seen in the figure below.

Demo campaigns

If you are interested in discovering all of the statistics that you may collect with gDE2 then it is possible now by checking out our brand new demo campaigns. The following campaigns are available if you log in to gDE2 by using gdedemo as both login name and password.

  • Demo Campaign with socdem
  • Czech Demo Campaign with Multi clickTags
  • Czech Demo Campaign with Actions
  • Hungarian Demo Campaign with Actions
  • Polish Demo Campaign with Costs
  • Demo Campaign v.2

Please note that these campaign are completed. In order to see them in the campaign list you need to click the Completed filtering button.

New landing page indicators

We have added a new set of landing page indicators. It is our next step in monitoring the direct effect of campaigns even better on landing pages. Just take a look at the new indicators below. Of course the definitions are available from the footer area of the ad server interface.

New creative macros

If you use gDE2 to serve and deliver ads then you will be happy to hear that we have implemented new creative macros in order to let you conduct even more sophisticated monitoring of ad efficiency:

These macros get substituted by values of Custom Categories and Custom IDs fields. These values must be defined under the Settings tab before using the new macros for any campaign, creative or placement.

Anti-cache solution for IMG tracking

Our IMG type of impression tracking scripts include now the [TIMESTAMP] string, which can be used by most publishers to automatically insert their cache buster solution (a dynamic value which ensures for them the distinction of impressions).

Of course if you don't replace this word, our scripts will still work perfectly for gDE2.

Hitcollector name changes

We have decided to put some order among our hitcollector names. With some changes, we will be able to identify the country of origin or the aim of any server. It will help us a lot in case of unexpected events as breakdowns.

As a consequence of our changes, you may notice that there is an _old suffix in already defined placements. Please do not change the hitcollector assignment of such placements, as it will cause changes in tracking scripts as well. Of course the old scripts will keep working perfectly.

Please do not use hitcollectors with _old suffix in the future, only new ones. It will greatly improve our work. Thank your for your understanding.
