Improvements to uploading placements
As promised, we are introducing improvements to uploading placements.
The main visual change is that the option "from file" in the "Add" menu has been replaced with a "Via file" button. This button has 3 options:
- Add placements - This option allows to create placement structure whenever it is empty.
- Update placements - This option allows to update placement properties.
- Export placements - This option allows to export the placement structure to .xls or .csv format. Here you can also download the file for import.

The drag & dropĀ option can be used when uploading a placement file.
- Add placements - SHIFT + drag&drop file to the placement tree field.
- Update placements - drag&drop file to the placement tree field.

The progress bar and error handling should help you understand what is going on during uploading and give clear messages if something is wrong.

Other improvements in this part of the system wait for your comments.
Introduction of 'Event' in gDE
In Prism there are two types of events, namely:
- page views, and
- actions (not resulting in reloading of a page, e.g. adding a product to a basket, clicking the download button, etc.),
Figure: Event type.
'Action' in Prism, which in gDE is set as 'Event', still has impact on statistics such as:
- Visits,
- Time spend on landing page,
- Bounce rate,

Information about the newest improvements to the device segmentation
We are constantly updating our operating systems and browsers database to ensure all new ones are taken into account in statistics. The last update is also the first step in the direction of multiplatforms. We already gather more information in order to present information split into more device types like: PC, tablet, mobile, etc.
