Placement tree update from one file

This week, we introduce an update to the functionality that allows to upload/update a placement tree from one external file.

Until now, when defining a placement tree, it was possible to add a new placement tree or to update an existing by uploading it from a file, or to export an existing placement tree to a file. The solution that we introduce this week brings in the missing functionality of importing a placement tree from one external file. What's more, we have combined the two commands, Add and Update, into one, leaving all operations under Update placement command.

To make it possible, we introduce a new column, called External ID, which will be available in the file used to add/update placements in the placements tree. This means that after this deployment, the system will recognize new and existing placements based on this field.

Change in naming of indicators

We change the naming convention of Inscreens and from now on they will be known as Viewable impressions, to indicate they are IAB compliant. The change will only affect statistics available in the gDE interface and will not affect the indicator names in the gDE API.

In addition to the change in the naming pattern, we decided to group all indicators differently in order to make it easier to search for a specific one. After this release, viewability-related indicators will be grouped in two tabs:

• IAB viewability with indicators related to the default, compliant to the IAB standard way of measuring ads viewability,
• Custom viewability with indicators related to the custom, client defined way of measuring ads viewability.

Dwells and Scroll depth indicators will still be available in the User engagement tab in the Indicators selection view.

Note: Please note that the indicators groups available in the gDE API will be changed accordingly with the tabs available in the Indicators selection view in the interface.
